    Ah, many thanks, thats really helpful .Think Ive probably got hold of the wrong end of the stick somewhere along the line. Not that I dont trust parent ,more just wanted to set things up correctly - its not something I want to have to redo later because of my ignorance.
    Yes there is a CFT but Id like to leave the parents to pay into that and just pay into the trust myself .Just awaiting the application form now, then we're off!Thanks again.
