For some strange reason my feet have suddenly decided to get all stinky.
So I wondered if anybody knew of something nice I'd find around the house to soak my feet in while I watch the box.
Please.
(And if someone says vinegar.... I'll thcweam and thcweam until I'm thick!)

Bowl of water with some vinegar
, bicarb and tea tree oil in
That's what I use to wash OH's socks in (in the wawsher) and it helps stop his feet stinking so much. So I bet washing your feet in it would work too.When life hands you a lemon, make sure you ask for tequilla and salt0 -
Wot's tea tree oil, he asks suspiciously?
Is this recipe of yours already in one of the vinegar or cleaning threads?

It's an essental oil which is an antiseptic. Comes in a little bottle like lavender, costs about 50p - £1.50. You'll get it from a holland and barrett type place, anywhere that sells candles and smelly stuff and they probably sell it in Boots and Wilkos. I get it from a local sells everything shop, it sells everything from gardening stuff to smellies and deoderants and EO's are only 49p.
Yes, all of them involving washing, but I'll tell you again *sigh*Actually it is in the big cleaning thread near the beginning originally posted by Judi. It is a replacement for fabric softner;
1 part bicarb, 1 part white vinegar, 2 parts water, 1 or 2 drops of essential oil (as I said, I use tea- tree because it is antiseptic and because OH says lavender smells of old ladies, :rolleyes: I guess it would be too girly for you too. Tea tree is much more manly). I have put it in an old lenor-type bottle and I use 1 capful in the wash instead of fabric softner.When life hands you a lemon, make sure you ask for tequilla and salt0 -
I was going to suggest hot water with a few drops of tea tree oil - you could also wash feet with a anti-bacterial soap first and go barefoot(once feet are clean and soaked) as much as you can."This site is addictive!"

I used to use a peppermint tea bag to make a foot soak. Extremely cheap and effective.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Tea tree oil: Noted thanks. I'll see if I can find an on-line source for it. I'm not planning on going into town for a while and I often find that p&p for an item is less than the bus fare would be for a special trip for one thing.
The recipe: Yes, I remember now. Judi had a quick scan through the thread and I started indexing her finds this morning and I think yours is done already, now that you've reminded meHi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. A splash of good old dettol, if you've got any, in a bowl of warm water would do the trick. It can be quite drying on the skin, so don't go mad0

Bit cool (for me) for wandering about barefoot just yet, but in warmer weather I do try to go barefoot as much as possible 'cos it's so much better for me than being wrapped up in shoes and sock all day. By summers end wearing shoes again feels very odd!Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. I found some at essential oils for £1.70 after going to Holland and Barret (who are having a half price sale(pah!) ) where it was still twice the price. And QVC are having a laugh.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
