Jsa help please sanction!!

Hi I am new here so please bare with me..
I am currently on JSA and have been sanctioned for 13 weeks. I am appealing this and was wondering how i go about it?? I have contacted t cab office and am waiting for a reply. I also got posted out a hardship form, which I filled in and sent back the same day (13th jan) having not heard anything back I contacted js who said there was no record of me having posted anything back (this isn't the first time) so the guy booked me an appointment .. Baring in mind I got sanctioned on 25th Dec and they messed up with my hardship form does anyone know if this will get back dated?
Also does anyone else have problems with their JC ? This is the 6th letter I have mailed to them which they have never received 😏the last time this happened I was so mad I asked them if they did actually open their mail and got 'of course we do ' and magically 1 hour later my letter 'appeared' on their desks lol.
Please help with info on sanctions and how long the process takes and of my hardship will get backdated? I am on medication full time for an ongoing condition and the adviser told me to being proof of this?

Why have you been sanctioned?

Can you prove you sent the hardship form? It is not paid for the first 14 days anyway, unless you are vulnerable, but any backdating will rely on you having proof of postage.

I'm not sure of the relevance of your medication, does it relate to why you were sanctioned?

I got sanctioned for not attending a wp appointment.. That I was never made aware of and have stated this to the JC. I cant prove I sent it no but im aware that the jc have down on record that I had a form sent out to me on 10th jan so not sure if this will count?
My medical condition has nothing to do with the sanction I have social anxiety disorder and depression and an eating disorder all of which I am attending therapy for and am on daily meds.

How did the WP notify you of this appointment? Was a one off or a regular appointment?

Always send recorded delivery they are incompetent and lose thinhs, they can also lie if they want too.

remember the jobcentre is mot their to help you into work only stop your benefits. Complain to your mp and ask for help if necessary. They are thete to help you.

Thanks I am going to contact my mp and see where it goes.. Cab havent gotten back to me yet

so if the WP didn't notify you what are they using as their proof they did?

Sounds like the postmen/women in your area need sacking with so much post being lost on either side.

I help to run a Drop-in Centre for homeless and needy people and I am absolutely sick of hearing about people being sactioned for the flimsiest of reasons. Sometimes it almost sounds as though they have been set up so that they CAN be sanctioned.
Just recently we have had one lady who was sanctioned because the time of her appointment had been changed without anyone informing her. She turned up to sign on 15 minutes late when she thought she was 15 minutes early. Mysteriously, immediately after this her appointments returned to the usual time. She has three children and went through Christmas with no money apart from her child benefits.

Another turned up to sign on the wrong day, not realising that there was a bank holiday in the week and everything had been changed, he was sanctioned for 6 weeks. He pointed out that he was living behind a bush in a park and didn't have a desk and a calendar to keep track of the days.

Another was given a job to apply for. He rang the place and was told that the job had already gone, so he didn't apply. Sanctioned for 6 weeks.

Another didn't apply for enough jobs. We discovered that he was only applying for jobs that he knew he could do or that he could get to by public transport. Big mistake.

This is probably no help to you except to reassure you that you are not alone.
One useful thing I have learned is that if your housing benefit is affected you can stil claim citing 'low income'.
I have also learned that there are steps you can take to claim discretionary payments but the job centre is unlikely to tell you about them.

I'm no expert, but hopefully someone else will be able to help you more.
