Or maybe its the jc incompetence we dont know.
Read the post the customer has been sanctioned for failing to attend a WP interview, this is nothing to do with JCP at all.
The WP raises the doubt directly with the LMDMA who in turn notify the benefit centre there is no inolvement with JCP at all.
OP go to your local office and ask for a recon/appeal and also a detialed explaination. They will then tell you who sent the appointment, when it was posted as with xmas post they may not have allowed sufficient time. If you have recieved a 13 week sanction this must be a second failure for you.
As for hardship make sure you take a bank statement with you, its a nil award for the first 14 days and yes, they can backdate.0 -

Always send recorded delivery they are incompetent and lose thinhs, they can also lie if they want too.
remember the jobcentre is mot their to help you into work only stop your benefits. Complain to your mp and ask for help if necessary. They are thete to help you.
The OP is a WP customer they are not eligble for any JCP help into work.
Yes by all means complain but about what exactly?0 -

The guaranteed way to make a WP sanction disppear is to state that you could not attend because you were ill. Go into the Jobcentre and complete a JSA28 to cover the period when you were supposed to have attended. This is the form to note absence due to sickness. Make sure the period is less than 14 days or your claim will be closed - you are allowed up to 14 days absence due to sickness on JSA. Any more than that and you will have to claim ESA.
You are allowed 2 periods of sickness within any rolling 12 mths so if you've already completed 2 other JSA28 forms within the last 12 mths that will also close your claim.
Then complete a DR7 to appeal the sanction. Ensure that a copy of the JSA28 is attached to the DR7.
I guarantee this will make the sanction go away.

This is indeed true that you can declare two periods of sickness but the OP should already have been asked for her reasons.
If you fail to attend WP they write to the LMDMA who in turn write to the jobseeker, they have 5 days to respond with their reasons. If the OP has already stated she didn't know about the interview then she cannot now declare she was sick. You also have to bear mind a 3rd period will just shut the claim.0
