External Hard Drive

I know I could do a lot of searching, but seeing as I'm trying to save money, I thought I'd ask the experienced. My external hard drive, which holds my music and videos, is on the verge of packing in, so I need to do something about it. I'm looking for something with 2TB, but I'm not really bothered about the make. Obviously, those with experience will know which make is good or bad. I'm looking for the best one, at a reasonable price. Any suggestions are welcome.

I bought one of these recently .. http://www.pixmania.co.uk/3-5-inch-external-hard-drive/verbatim-store-n-save-3-5-external-hard-drive-2-tb-black/12019489-a.html ... on offer at £56.99.

Seems to work quite well , I don't think you'll find cheaper for a 2TB drive ... HDD inside is a Seagate Barracuda!
You get a USB 3 cable in the box ... about 2ft long , plus a power supply with what I assume is a french mains connector , but there is also a UK mains convertor provided too!

I know some people don't like using Pixmania (French company) but I've had no problems , delivery was by UPS.

I tend to buy WD drives at the moment.

I've never had any SATA drive of any make go bad on me, but then I plan a backup routine around the assumption that every single drive is in the process of dying right now.

So I would say: think about price, power consumption, noise, speed, rather than reliability.
