Phone or Form?

Is reclaiming PPI on credit cards best by phone or form and could you please give the reason why. I am surrounded by old credit card statements (as a past 'credit card tart' and can't pluck up the courage or believe I might have been unwittingly paying PPI and have a legitimate claim? Thank you in hope!:money:

Surely you would know if you have or not?
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you have paid PPI then your credit card statements will show this on a separate line each month. If you can find no evidence of these payments then phoning or writing will make no difference since you will only ever be refunded money you actually paid.

By the way, "unwittingly" paying PPI is not possible unless you never looked at your statements and signed up for PPI without reading what you were signing. It was not added randomly without the knowledge and permission of the customer..
