Urgent help and advice needed Amber Wi

Can anyone help me with advice on Amber Windows
Are they a reputable Co?

My father who is elderly received a phone call from the company which lead to a salesman calling at his home to give a quote for his windows.
Telling my father if he signed contract he would get a 44% discount.
So a quote for nearly £8,000 dropped to £5,500

My father who is not well I feel as been taken advantage of.

The advice I need is where does he stand legally to cancel until he feels well enough to deal with this.

I'm not sure of the legal position, regarding cancellation, but this sign now for a huge discount is the regular double glazing salesman con.

I'd long suspected, but while on a work experience, my son confirmed that the reps have a price which they must get, leaving them free to hugely inflate prices, then reduce them, giving an apparent bargain and making a nice pile for themselves.

One called me, only yesterday, offering a government scheme reduction of £5000 for replacing old inefficient windows. My reply was to go away, as I am well aware of the industry trick of super inflating the starter price; the reduction still leaving a price higher than the true value of the work.

I do need a couple of replacement units, but will approach small locals and not nationals with over-greedy reps.

Check the paperwork that he signed for T&Cs for a cancellation period and then cancel in writing sending recorded delivery.
