Scared to use the internet on tivo

I recently got tivo and when I go to turn on the internet it gives me a warning about people being able to access my box and internet connection if it isn't properly secure. How do I make sure it's completely secure please?

Its referring to your wi fi, have you got it secured with a password?
If the Tivo is connected to your router via Ethernet you have nothing to worry about.That gum you like is coming back in style.0
