egg success claim - advice on repayment period

Hi all

I know ultimately the answer is to phone barclays and check but thought i'd ask here...

got a letter this morning saying my egg ppi claim had been successful (yay) - they had written to me only a few weeks ago saying they thought a policy had been missold.

I have had the same card since 2005 which was with egg, now barclaycard. The ppi repayments have been calculated from date I took the card to August 2006 only. Does anyone know why it would only have been to 2006? I had no idea I was ever paying PPI so it was never cancelled by me - anyone else have a similar cut off point?

I have no original paperwork or statements.

Many thanks :)
