Hi all, I'll try and keep this simple:
- I have a £300 credit on my O2 airtime plan
- My DD was returned this month on my phone plan = £15
- phoned straight away to pay it
- they said don't worry we have taken it from your existing credit
- today my phone has been barred, on live chat to an advisor who says I have an outstanding balance which she has NOW taken from my existing credit
- says they have registered this as a default
So the first person I spoke to who told me it was all taken care of and nothing to worry about was telling porkies and now I'll most probably get a default marked on my credit file.
Am I in a position to dispute this as I was told I was clear?
Thanks in advance

For a single missed payment it would likely be marked down as a missed payment. They wouldn't be likely to consider registering a default unless you had missed 3 payments or more.
In the first instance I'd speak to them and explain what you were told initially and ask if they are likely to mark your file with a missed payment and ask if they will agree not to.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
