PCN - different numbers

I wonder if anyone might be able to offer some advice please?
I've read through the PCN appeal threads but can't find an instance where the PCN no. on the ticket (left on the window) is different to the one given on the NTK letter.
Is this grounds for appeal in itself?
Any help much appreciated, thanks!

In a word no, but it demonstrates the overall inefficiency of some private parking companies (PPC's). Having received the windscreen ticket (officially known as the Notice to Driver) and since that the Notice to Keeper have you yet appealed to the PPC at all? If not, how long have you had the Notice to Keeper? My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

I had the Notice to Keeper letter two days ago, so haven't made any appeal as yet, but just wanted to check if the different numbers was enough of a reason to appeal.0

In itself no but as I'm sure you've started to realise there are ample, and successful routes of appeal without this.
As far as the Notice to Keeper (NtK) is concerned, how long is it since you received the windscreen ticket counting the day after the ticket was issued as Day 1? And, does the date of the alleged event on the NtK match that on the windscreen ticket?
I want to try to eliminate the possibility that you actually have two separate PCN's one issued by means of ANPR (the latest one) and the other per windscreen. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

Windscreen ticket was received 40 days ago (today is day 40) and the dates on the windscreen ticket and NtK letter are the same...incidentally, I did receive two identical copies of the NtK letter on the same day!0

OK thanks. Does either of the NtK's you have set out a period during which you can appeal further and if so how long do they allow you? I'm assuming that they will allow a maximum of 14 days (that is the period during which they can take no further action). My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

So sorry for the delayed reply....lost my internet:o
The letter(s) state I have 28 days from the date of the letter (24th Jan) to appeal, thanks for your help so far!0 -
Your queries are answered already in the sticky thread 'Private Parking ticket, old or new? Newbies read these FAQs first!' If in England/Wales you appeal like everyone here does every day - your case is the same. I would not mention the difference with the windscreen ticket as you leave yourself likely to accidentally let on who was driving - not a good plan.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
