Hi,
I am trying to email Ben but it's failing. Does anyone knows any alternate email address?
Last two months I am having so much trouble from BT. I have no hope anymore.
I moved in a new flat and applied for a bt connection on 23/04/07 and the line supposed to be live next morning as a Bt socket is present and recently been used by previous tenant.
But this never happened. I have spent over 10 hours on the phone and spoken to 10/12 people in customer service/customer option teams but they couldn't sort me out. Later they've canceled the order without asking me.
I complained to BT.com but they denied of receiving the email although I have the reference number. After sending the 2nd complaint they've forwarded the email to Openreach for investigation.
A couple of days later I have received an email Only saying, the line will be activated on 01/06/07. They didn't answer my question if it's a 3 months contract as I've placed my order before June which was canceled by them.
This time the line was activated on time but they've taken out £135.99 from my bank without asking me. When I first applied back in April they said, there will be No activation charge and No need to visit by an engineer.
I have not received any bill or welcome letter yet but when I checked my bank statement I've found out BT charged £135.99.
If I had known about any connection charge I wouldn't have applied for the BT connection as I'm living here for only 6 months.
Is there anything I can do to recover the money by the legal terms or the direct debit guarantee?
Thanks

Are you sure you spelt Ben's name correctly?
It's ben.verwaayen@bt.comTime has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

I copied the email address from another post before but now I see it was wrong address.
I have sent an email to the above address and received a reply in a few minutes...I will send this to our high level complaints team and ask them to look into this
Ben
