XP re-install problems, after linux installation

I had a similar problem a while ago and it can be fixed. Google something like "uninstall Linux Windows" and there are instructions and utilities out there (sorry - I'm at work at can't do this for you). The problem is that Linux changes the MBR on the disk and Windows can't read it. There is a simple way to get it back and all will be well
Thanks for the advice, but i tried this and thats what threw it over the edge i'm reasonably tech savvy but obviously not as much as i though.
Saved all my important stuff pictures and uni work (thank god) before hand. Just need to figure out which version of xp i need.
I'll try PC world but if they give me jip i might bite the bullet and buy an OEM of Vista or something.0
