Washing Machine....Grrrr!

Hi
Got a problem with my (old) washer, Indesit W133.
It crashed on a cycle (number 8), and wont reset. It has done it before, but I normally just turn it off and back on again.
If I turn the dial round to the "end programme" point, it flashes and seems to reset. I can then start it on number 8 again, but stops again after 10 minutes. Also, If I put it on the drain option, it wont do anything at all.
Any ideas?

It sounds like the waste pump is either blocked or the pump motor has burned out.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I've found that most times a machine refuses to drain it's because the filter is blocked. If you don't know where your filter is then that increases the odds of it being at fault so check your instructions. As mentioned though it might be the pump which is usually an easy part to replace and not usually ridiculously priced.
Filters are almost invariably right at the bottom of the machine and carefully positioned so it is impossible to put any bowl in place to catch the water when you unscrew the cap. The easiest way round that I've found is to use a towel to soak it up resealing the drain each time it gets sodden and wringing the towel into a bowl or the sink.
Last time I saw this was only a few weeks back with my daughters machine. It turned out to be a coin blocking it or at least helping the fluff to.0
