Outside Tap - How much?

We're in the process of buying a property (final stages now, woop woop!). One of the things that I would like to do (though granted it's not the highest on my list) is to fit an outside tap.
The kitchen is at the back of the property, the sink, dishwasher, etc are plumbed in along the back wall. So from a plumbing point of view I think we're okay.
Does anyone know what kind of cost I'd be looking at to get this done? (We're just outside the M25, the west side of London). Is it a ridiculous thing to think of having a hot tap and a cold tap outside? If we could have warm water it would help with washing the dog after muddy walks. Though this isn't a necessity. He's only small - currently I carry him through our house to the bathroom to be washed down. Main reason I would like a tap would be for watering the garden, washing the car (the parking space for the car is out back), that kinda thing.

Couple of outside taps some speed fittings and a length of copper pipe should do it. If you do it yourself you should see some change from £30 for hot and cold.0

Invest in a thermo mixer valve if you're going to be washing dogs - I'd hate for you to accidentally wash them with 60 degree water.
Seriously.
Oh, and markmark hasn't added isolator valves, check valves and drain off-cocks to your shopping list.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get my uncle to do it for us rather than a 'proper' plumber. He's pretty good at all this kinda thing - he did everything for his own house and my grandparents. Whilst I'm handy with a paintbrush I'm not sure I trust myself with plumbing!
When I get chance to speak to him I'll ask him about all the stuff you guys have mentioned. Especially the thermo mixer valve. I was a little worried about water from a hot tap being too hot to wash the pup with.Save in 2014 Challenge: #193 £4,197.70/£50000
