Should my default dates be different?

Hi everyone

I unfortunately had to declare myself bankrupt several years ago, and I am now nearing the end of my 6 years. My understanding is that my defaults should disappear from my credit file after 6 years.

I have applied for a copy of my credit report from Experian and a number of the defaults that were included in my bankruptcy show the correct date (i.e. the date I was declared bankrupt) but others show later dates, some of these a year later.

Is it possible (and correct procedure) for me to write to these lenders and advise them that the date should be changed, or do I need to leave this as is?

Thanks for reading :)
