One night hotel breaks

I pretty much ONLY enter for one night stays, as I'd be very reluctant to leave my kids longer than overnight. We don't have many babysitters on hand so I wouldn't want to push my luck asking anyone to mind them for two or more nights!
Saying that though, I only enter for things that are within about 90 mins drive so nothing in Cornwall or Scotland for example!0 -
I think it is still worth entering because you could either add a second night (hopefully at a good rate) or you could find somewhere nearby like a Premier Inn to make it worth the trip. Mind you I love hotels, which is probably why I work in one lol0

ive won and taken a few one night ones they were lovely a real treat as i wouldnt normally go in a hotel. luckily i was with my ex at the time and he didnt mind driving to the one which was in leeds but the one in london we had transport paid for us as we were going to see x factor as part the prize. i would still go even though im alone if it was a really nice place or somewhere i had never been just for the experiencepma positive mental attitude counts for everything:D

I've won a few one-nighters - the London ones are easy for me as I'm on the doorstep.
Am off to Edinburgh in March as I won a fab night in a hotel, deluxe room, dinner, Champagne, ghost tour, driving experience (passed that to a friend). It is costing us £100 to get up there and back (total), and I've booked another 2 nights' B&B elsewhere (and obviously expenses), but then we won't be going on holiday and I think it's forced our hand a bit into going away (heaven!). Am also meeting up with a close friend who lives in Fife.
I would do the main City comps (if a central hotel) if they included a nice dinner as it's like a little mini-City break and can be worth a couple of hundred quid. I wouldn't do a comp for one night in the middle of nowhere or on the outskirts of a City - especially if no dinner included. Too much hassle - unless they were valid for a year and I hoped to win others so could do a little driving holiday.
I have Alton Towers tickets (a win) which I am hoping to use this year - but would LOVE to win a hotel within half an hour's drive or so of there (south) so I could incorporate the two. Bit of a long way for a theme park for a day, and I'll be knackered at the end of the day and won't fancy driving home.
Jx2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
I give the one night hotel breaks a miss.
Unless, it is for London, as I have to go to London every couple of months for a hospital treatment. I am always hopeful but not as yet, been lucky enough to win a 1 night stay in London. It would almost make my treatment bearable.0 -
Saw a THREE night break to the Maldives on here the other day
I believe it takes about 16 hours there and back, not including any delays.
As much as i'd love to go it wouldn't be worth the hassleThe first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -
i usually only enter ones with travel money includded
bit tight for me atm cant afford to spend out extraWhat goes around-comes around0 -
If travel is included, I'm game for anything/anywhere. And if spending money is involved as well, then I'm an even happier bunny. You'll have to speak up; I'm wearing a towel0

I have won a few - travel costs are a bonus, but I have won and taken those without
I've combined them with another 1 night stay or tagged them on to a break we've paid for. It's given me a great opportunity to see parts of the UK I wouldn't normally have visited and I've often enjoyed them so much I go back
The longest I've travelled for a single night with no expenses was 280 miles - I tagged that on to another break we'd already booked, so it actually added a total of about 120 miles. The hotel was lovely, the staff welcoming and we'll certainly go back for a longer break, probably next year0
