Netflix reopened old accound and charged me?

Hi, I just checked my bank statement today to see netflix have charged me £5.99 on an account i havent used with them since last year, I rang up and they said they will cancel it and refund me asap. It all seemed a little weird, they asked no questions and seemed very easy to deal with. Is this because they knew they had done something wrong? Any ideas would be appreciated, Thanks.

  • By last year I mean over a year ago, oops!
  • maybe the account was only "suspended" rather then cancelled.

When I tried to cancel my LoveFilm account they were trying ever so hard just to suspend the account rather then properly close it down.

I'd give them an email/ring and tell them to cancel and refund the money.

Best thing would be to tell them you are emigrating to Japan or somewhere you can't get NetFlix.
