Hi,
Please can you help me in where I stand in regards to mycurrent issue with Oak furniture land –
Basically, I purchased a table with 4 cream chairs fromthem, I could see a hint of lime green in them and highlighted my concerns tothe sales assistance who reassured me it was the lighting in the shop. Turns out its not, it’s a horrid lime greencolour not cream when delivered. I called them up to complain and they basicallysaid they’ve received a lot of complaints with this. I asked them to contact their previoussuppliers (as they have a new supplier) as I want cream chairs not brown or blackor green! Basically they said I caneither swap them for a different colour or I can return them at a cost of £60for them to collect?!
I am now left with brown chairs when I wanted cream, do I nothave any consumer rights with where I stand with this. I desperately want creamchairs ! xx

Write to them stating that as the items being cream was a condition of the sale and that they are unable to meet that condition, they are in breach of contract and as such, you require a full refund of all monies paid.
The only problem you may encounter is because you noticed it the shop prior to buying. I know you asked the employee but lime green (are you sure you mean lime green?) and cream are two totally different colours. I'm not sure the word of a worker should overrule your own eyes on something so obvious.
To explain, this is lime green to me: http://images.kaneva.com/filestore8/4354392/5324842/limeUgreen.jpgYou keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
