    Sorry to say but that's why they will have stopped paying. SC usually email to say keep your balances updated. May be worth asking them to resend as if not you may have grounds for complaint.


    Also did the creditor not send you statements?

    should have had a notice of what was left to be paid at least every 6 months
  • thought I would update you all with some good news! Wrote to Lloyds TSB with the facts, had a phone call the next day advising that they would be investigating my 'complaint'. Called back withing 4 hours to advise that they had made a mistake, that they should have frozen my interest, that they would be clearing my account, ie, the £4.5k interest still to pay that had been passed to Cabot AND that they would be sending me a cheque for £50 to apologise. They also advised that they had backdated my default to March 2008 so it would clear from my credit account next month. I'm very happy, if a little suspicious. But surely that's a result?
