Anyone have any advice on where is the best place to apply given that I am self employed. My credit rating is good but I know a lot of companies charge ridiculous interest rates.

Doesn't matter if you're S/E or not it all depends on your credit history.
If your credit history is good as you say just apply for a card."You know when it's cold outside when you go outside and it's cold"0 -
if you pay the CC in full each month then the interest rate won't matter as you pay no interest0

Try the Capital One Aspire Business MC. I'm also recently self employed and have opened this account. This card provides 5% cash back for the first three months then 1.5% after 99 days. Only had it a month and have already got £40 cash back!0
