I queried this with them and they're going the same way as Halifax. This was their reply:

"Funds are already able to be traded through the stocks and shares ISA. Funds ISAs are no longer able to be opened and the approximate end date is going to be around the 31st March."

This isn't clear from their website though, as it certainly looks like you could open one now. I'm going ahead with IWeb for a stocks and shares ISA.

If you try and open a Funds ISA with them the application says at the top of the page that funds ISAs are no longer available and a S+S ISA will be opened instead.

Ah yes. You clicked one more time than I did! Kind of strange phrasing right enough:

"The Self-Select Funds ISA is no longer available to new customers. If you open a Funds ISA we will convert this account into a Self-Select Stocks & Shares ISA."

Interesting, the ISA annual charge of £12.50 is very competitive. Not best pleased at the FX conversion going up to 1.25% though.

I think in April I will open a second S&S ISA with Halifax as I need another provider that gives me access to AIM and allows W8-BEN forms and my current broker SaxoBank dont provide this.
Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

    Hi,

When does the £12.50 annual admin fee for Halifax share dealing get taken?

    Thanks
