    ¡Hola!
Thinking of you (( snoozer)), it will be manic at the moment sorting I am sure.
Remembering MSDiva who died 3 years ago and more than often started the thread, and always in purple.
Cloudy today with the chance if a little drizzle, but after the last few days which have been glorious, we cannot complain.
Was going to attack Mount Ironmore, but the iron pump from the tank was not working, so DH has just had it to pieces and seems to have fixed it, Limescale was the culprit. So will get started shortly. Went out to the charity Bingo for the Paul Cunningham Nurses ( like Macmillan nurses in the UK). Won a bottle of wine. But was a lovely sunny afternoon so was very pleasant, then DH wanted to go to the cheapy Chinese for tea. :o:p
We will eat in today, as we are out for the Chinese NY on Thursday, 19 of us going and Quiz and a meal on Friday. :o:eek:
Luxor I know what you mean, we have the funds to do something different, but get DH in the frame of mind is not easy. Sometimes I book and then tell him.
To those of you who are hurting, fed up peeved off, then please grab a ((hug)), spoons, positive vibes, whatever your poison. Take care everyone. DG

Trying to find a wedding dress is tough. I prefer bridesmaids dresses. Thanks bargainbird you are giving me lots of inspiration and ideas! :-)
Don't forget, there's no law that says you have to wear a white meringue.;) First time around my dress was "officially" a bridesmaids dress (pale blue); and when I married Mr LW I got a lilac silk dress with a matching stole from a department store in Northampton which wasn't "officially" anything to do with their wedding range, but it was the colour I wanted, and could be worn again afterwards (I've worn it to the opera a couple of times).:o

Tru and Luxor I don't think this constant wet weather does anything to lift anyone's mood.

Luxor I'm afraid I'm a bit like your DH - I agree in principle, then I lose my bottle and chicken out.:( Mr LW is trying to organise a holiday, we've agreed in principle to visit Brugge again, travelling by ferry; we've even established that the ferry company he wants to use can cope with me; but I'm scared to actually press the "book now" button. I've told him to just sort it, and tell me what money I need to earmark (I know roughly, and have, as household "treasurer", approved the expense, I just need the exact amount for my spreadsheet) because I'll lose my nerve and prevaricate til it's too late.:(

Predictably, I have CWS - Canine Withdrawal Syndrome.:D May try to distract myself with some dusting - it hasn't been done for nearly a week as Evie was very demanding/exhausting, and the place is like a midden!
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

:-) I might end up doing that! I have seen a few that I quite like. Good excuse to go shopping really!

Has it really been three years since we lost our beloved Diva :(
I will post in purple today in her memory Purple_Candle.gif

snoozer thinking of you today x

Persisting down heavily and cold, hasn't stopped all day :(

We went shopping today instead of tomorrow) because I have physiotherapy at the hospital in the morning) and it was lovely and quiet, got lots of reduced meat in Aldi, which is now all happily sitting in the freezer :D It has been months since I have been able to get any YS meat from there. Got potatoes and other veg in the market. Then popped int Wilko's for another hair colour while it is still on offer and came out with 6 rolls of the Regina Blitz thick kitchen roll it is half price at the moment and I am stocking up, it is normally £2.49 a roll so I am saving £1.25 a roll, that is a big saving, also got a long handled patio brush for getting weeds out from the paving slabs normally £10, I paid £1.50 got MIL one as well.
Then we went into Farmfoods and I got 2 x 300g Lyons coffee granules for £5, bisto is only £1.39 and 15 eggs are £1 and they are the cheapest around for hovis bread, we spent £26 in there and I got £2.50 back using coupons so that is in my coupon and lottery ticket jar, I have £42.50 in there already :j That is starting at the beginning if the month. If it carries on like that I will have £510 by the end of the year :D I still have a separate jar for my sistercas fund which stands at £70 at the moment, that pays for Christmas.

I am off to sit in front of the fire Brrrrrrrrrrrr

    BFN x

Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    Afternoon all,

Its chucking it down here. I am hoping to dodge the showers so that I can take our household waste up to the path for the collection tomorrow. We will be having one of those big wheelie bins next month. I hope I can fit in three pretty full black sacks in it or i'll not be very happy. I'm not too happy I'm going to have to pull it up the steps to the path either (though I must admit the steps aren't very high).

    Jobs completed for today:

Bedding all laundered and beds made.
    Vacuumed throughout
    Kitchen floor cleaned
    Tea prepared
Handrail up the stairs has been cleaned and anti bac'd. It was filthy.:o

    That's my lot for today.

    Have a good evening all.

    Buenas Tardes
Just a quick update, DH did get the iron going, and then a e had to clean it out with white vinegar, a short time later he wanted me to call it quits for today, as wanted to re-arrange the furniture, who am I to complain!!:D:D
Just had a very colourful thunderstorm, and some hail stones with it:eek::eek: we are getting the tail end of your weather, so it will be cooler for the next few days, but the sun should be back tomorrow. As I have gotten nothing else on the go, looks like an omelette for us tonight, will fill it will whatever is in the fridge, peppers, tomatoes, ham, cheese (for me) cooked LO veg and maybe a few dried herbs. I cheated and had a fried egg Sarnie at lunchtime, but the sliced bread out here is only about 3 or 4" square, so wasn't too bad, as I always dry fry.
Enjoying listening to Smooth Radio via the internet.
    Have a nice evening everyone.

  • Evening all
I've missed a day as my little laptop went to be sorted, I borrowed it from my SIL when my old laptop died & then he said I could keep it & he's taken all his stuff off it.
Hugs to Snoozer, Molly & Hilly, sorry you are dogless LW.
    Remembering Diva today.
I got married in a HM Laura Ashley copy first time round & HM red lace 2nd time.
I've had my appraisal back with my targets to be met in 2 weeks, same one keeps raising it's ugly head 'All stock in Repro must be securely locked away & available to staff at all times'! I'm keeping copies, an employment solicitor will have a field day I think.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.
