memory card question

i know how to format the card in my camera but haven't a clue when it comes to a micro sd card for a mobile.got a card reader with the card just now if that's any help but just need somebody to give me SIMPLE instructions what to do.

put the card in the reader
reader in the pc
and see how it is formated already I expect it will already be formated as fat 32 ready for use in most devices.

did that and the pc brought up the message that new hardware had been found BUT it's showing as unknown device in the USB controllers section in device manager

Ok contact the seller of the item and tell him it is faulty and ask him for a refund return the card to him I expect you paid next to nothig for the card and a small fortune on postage from hong kong?

Then ignore the fact that cards are cheaper on ebay and buy one from a reputable seller not from ebay most memory cards on ebay are fake and have problems liek you are having.

I bought a Micro SD card off of ebay from a seller in the USA.

No problem with it at all. Delivery just took a while but the card is fine.

bought the card from a seller in the UK and the card was slightly cheaper than others @ the time.i paid 9.50 incl postage for a 1GB card and i looked on ebay for a while before choosing this company.the card reader was an added bonus.having read the feedback and after receiving the card i had no worries abt the card being a fake.


tried another card out ( in the reader) yesterday and came to the conclusion that it was indeed the reader cos the other card i used had files on it and still nowt happened.emailed the guy and he's replied and apologised-and is sending me another one.there was an option to format the card when it was in the fone so i did that ( well my son's friend did).
