Natwest advantage gold

Hi all, I saw a link about claiming back fees on paid bank accounts, so just wondered if i could get a couple of opinions on if you think i am eligible.
I ended up taking out an advantage gold account, purely because i was told it was the only way i would get a debit card.
It was a few years ago, and up to this point, i had zero credit. No loans, no contract phone, no nothing so i was turned down for a credit card with Nationwide, where i had been a customer for years, even with a childrens cashbuilder account.
The advantage gold account came with numerous insurances, but i only took it because the salesperson told me it was the only way i would get a debit card.
Would i have a claim to get my money back?

The article which you imply you have read includes a checklist.
Number 1 would seem to apply to you, based on your account of the situation. Do you have any firm evidence to support your version of account? Otherwise the bank may simply disagree and then it will be your word against theirs and any chance of success would be reduced significantly.
If you took advantage of any of the insurance cover provided (even though that was not the basis for accepting the packaged account initially) then you are also unlikley to be successful in any claim of mis-selling.0 -

The only evidence I've got, is that as soon as I was able to get a debit card from nationwide, I closed the natwest account. I didnt use any of the insurance products at all. My mobile phone was covered under my contract deal, couldn't use the travel cover as I've never even had a passport and the other products like discounts on car insurance were too expensive to consider anyway.0 -
I'm sorry for not being clear in my previous post.
The evidence I was referring to would be to support this specific allegation
