I agree on the 'lynch mob' mentality could be read on some of the other threads recently, but here I think some of us were just expressing a slight difference of opinion

I think the only reason anyone would have to worry was if they had cheated in order to win, companies aren't going to come on mse to see who won because they hold competitions where you have to like their page or subscribe to mailing in order to get as many people on their site as possible so it's a win win if their comp is posted here and that's why some bloggers etc try to post their own competitions on here.

People speculated that this was a possibility on the thread about the Omlet advent win, and about Watto who won the Bodyfit exercise equipment that was then refused.

I haven't seen a confirmed post about this anywhere, though, or anything other than these two?

I'm also struggling to know what we should be afraid of here. So someone's reporting, presumably to a given Company, that someone else has won one of their competitions? In my experience they tend to know this stuff anyway.
However, since I can't even win an argument I am fairly sure that I have nothing to fear. :rotfl::rotfl:

I just find it hard to believe that someone on the forum would contact a company and tell them what was said here as it would be like shooting yourself in the foot.

i havent seen evidence of it on here, but it happens in these facebook "groups" of compers where theres horrible nasty people following other compers around and calling them trolls or saying they are fake names when theyve won a prize and snitching to the companies.
people are cruel . gimme animals any day
