I'm looking for a replacement battery. It's for a green drill (& a torch).
It is a Ni-Cd battery. On the inside it gives the following info:
2 607 335 274
12V 4/5Cs
A08830Y
I've had a quick look on screwfix but it costs £40 & i'm not even sure if its the right battery.
Can anyone help me get the right battery at a good price? Thanks

e bay is your bst bet.
I have got a Dewalt 24v battery on there for around £35 before now. Screwfix wanted £100 plus for the same battery IIRC.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -
If you're happy to go via Screwfix you do get 1 month to return it if it's the wrong one.
If you go via E bay look for sellers with high feedback. In my case I got it from a seller with a huge feedback score but he had a few negs in there. This seller deals with returns from Screwfix among others.
The sale didn't go too smoothly, as the battery was advertised as a 2.4Ah. When it arrived it was in fact a 2.0Ah - less running time, though the battery was compatable. My bid was not far off £50 so I wasn't too happy at first.
I asked e bay for their contact details and got a mobile number off them. After having no luck with one of their guys, as he didn't get back to me etc, I managed to get hold of another chap - depends who answers the phone, and he offered a reasonable partial refund, based on what I would have been prepared to pay if I knew it was a 2.0Ah.
This brought the price down to just under £35 IIRC.
Another rote you could try is the reconditioned route. There are companies who will rebuild the battery for you. When I looked into it the cost of reconditioning the battery was around £50 or £60. My new one only cost me £35.
Is the tool still under warranty? Maybe Bosch will replace it for you.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0
