ANPR parking charge

Hi there . Been a while since ive visited the parking board , Hope all are well and your still fighting and winning .
My elderly parents have just informed me of a letter that has them worried as it is their third with threats of northampton court and more certificates and statments . I havent got the paperwork off them yet but will tommos . They had a parking eye invoice about 3 years ago for the same carpark and i rightly told them to ignore and they will go away (which they did) they didnt inform me of the recent (oct 2013) parking charge. They are both disabled and mum is in a scooter . Blue badge holders are free in this car park (if in disabled bay AFAIK) . They parked in a mother and child bay not a disabled bay. They think the charge was £100 reduced to £50 its now £175 . Will get all details after Liverpool hammer Everton and back tomorrow with more info to seek your help. Just setting the scene . Take care and thanks in advance

Is this a PCN issued as a result of an ANPR camera capture (if so, who is the PPC)? Or is it a NtK from ANPR Ltd (of Preston)?

    Could be quite different advice/approach.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Liverpool did indeed win!

Sounds like your parents may have got Court papers if 'Northampton' is mentioned. No panic, we can definitely help you help them to defend this ridiculous situation. Most cases never proceed to a hearing and the first place you should go is to complain to the Store Manager if this was a retail car park - get very assertive about this harassment and it may be worth considering a counter claim for breach of the Equality Act 2010 and you can tell the Store Manager their store is also implicated in the discrimination/harassment, unless PE were taken on by another party (landowner) rather than the occupying retailer?

Did Mum & Dad display the Blue Badge even though they were in a P&C bay?

Was this a windscreen ticket at first? Or a postal one about an overstay in fact?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It looks like a threatogram to go to court, are the court papers stamped and a claim number on there? If it was real court papers they won't come from Trevor Whitehouse's ANPR ltd or the fake debt collectors
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
