Sprung doors. Trapped fingers

I think this is the best place for this question because I am looking for practical ideas from parents
Town house with fire doors. The springs must be kept in place which makes the door very dangerous for little fingers
How do people protect their little ones? I use door stops but they are easily moveable and the door will slam shut. I will be a grandma soon and want to plan in advance. I need to keep the downstairs doors open so need a very effective idea

hi, you can get plastic strips that go over the hinge of the door to stop fingers getting traped that end, they also do wedges that fit round the top of the door so they cannot slam, try a large baby.child type shopProud to be sorting my life out!

I have seen the plastic strips. They do look ok too. They just fasten down the side of the door and bend when the door opens. I have no idea where to find them though.- Matthew - Yep I'm new here

Not sure what you mean by door stops. When ours were younger we used the foam 'C' shaped things that fitted over the door to stop it closing fully. If you put them on top of the door there's no way a young child can remove them and they shouldn't fall off.
Something like this

Although ours didn't have the extra cutout in them. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends

We use C stops but it doesn't stop little fingers getting trapped at the hinge end when the door is closed. Most nurseries and primary schools use full length door jams. The man without a signature.0

Do be careful of the foam 'c' stop that fits over the door, if it slams shut it often just gets squashed.0

I might be lazy/stingy but I always just threw a towel over the top of ours when there were little ones around!!!
