Boiler not firing on timer

Hi, I am having a problem with my gas boiler not firing when it should on the timer.

I have a Drayton digistat RF1 wireless system. I have replaced the batteries and followed the instructions to ensure the system is synch'd - but the heating does not come on (i.e. the boiler does not fire) when it is timed to start.

I can get the boiler to fire manually by turning it off and on again, and then if I leave it on but controlled by the thermostat it will continue, going off and then re-firing when the thermostat triggers it.

Can anyone advise what might be the cause of this, or what I should do to try to fix it? I am happy to call someone out to fix it but would like to have an idea of the likely problem first.

Thanks
