Hi all,
Has anyone else had trouble verifying their ID?
Applied for a clarity card online and was asked to take proof of ID into branch. Have done this twice now and neither sets have made their way to head office.
This is becoming far too hard task - may just have to try elsewhere at this rate.
cheers

Hi,
I had exactly the same issue when trying to open a new current account with Halifax back last year. Even though I already held a credit card with them they still requested I take ID to my local branch to confirm my identity. Thinking that all would be resolved, it turned out after 14 days and constantly being told to wait and it would all be sorted, they had too lost my ID. It took just about 1 month for me again to take my ID to branch and eventually they allowed branch staff to Fax a copy of the ID to them. Log a complaint, I did and everything seemed to move much quicker.0 -
Good idea.
Third time's a charm, so hopefully I can organise it all tomorrow.0
