Its all a bit different in Scotland. I've booked the registrar for the day but we just have to send back the Marriage Notice forms 6 weeks before the wedding. On the day the registrar comes 15 mins early and we have to sign to say everything is correct before we go ahead.
Cant believe you have to answer questions about your relationship :eek:Married 30/08/14 :heartpuls0 -

My OH thought it would be hilarious to get my birthday wrong (well, he says he did it on purpose to 'get his money's worth and see what they were actually testing', but I'm not sure!). The Registrar just joked about it with me when he came out and I went in for my 'interview' (he went first). I was a bit suprised about the questions about my dad and his profession, I hadn't realised that would be needed.0 -
Someone I know had her now-husband ring her up from the registrar's when he went to give notice - as in, when he was actually sat with the registrar - because he couldn't remember the year she was born! I was quite surprised by that as I'd have thought they would be quite strict on you not having any contact with each other..."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0
