Wedding Groomsmens suits help please

Hi everyone I hope you are all having a nice day.....

I am after some help please....

My fiance and I are getting married in August in Northumberland and all the plans to date have gone smoothly and relatively stress free.

I started to turn my attention towards the groomsmen's clothes and as it costs approx £120 to hire a suit I thought I may as well go to somewhere like Matalan and buy the suits for the same price.

I am buying for my fiance, his best man and both our dads so that's 4 suits in total.

I found a lovely light grey 3 piece suit at Matalan and emailed the link to our mum's to see what they'd think. My mum has now dropped a small bomb shell that my dad requires 'pleat' front suit trousers as flat front trousers do not go over his thighs.

Does anyone know where I can get a suit from that comes with both flat front and pleat front trouser options? Either that or I'm going to have to buy everyone pleat front trousers and suit jackets.

I don't think this is going to be as cheap as i first imagined.

If anyone could point me in the right direction to a retailer or stockist i'd be really grateful.

I've looked online at next, debenhams, bhs etc but can't find anything suitable.

Thanks

  • Ask him to find his own suit in the correct fitting and you will go and purchase it?

Thanks but the point is I want 4 matching suits that will fit them all - same colour etc.... I don't mind different syle trousers as long as they are the same shade and have the same matching suit jacket.....

Just had a quick look on Cotton Traders web site and they do both flat front and pleat front trousers in the same colours, both £25 then you could get jacket and/or waistcoats to co ordinate

Could your Dad try the flat front ones on at least?

thanks I'll check out cotton traders.

My mum said my dad has never ever managed to get into flat fronted suits so doesn't think it's worth trying now.
