Night Clubs in Bristol

Hi
I'm planning to go out in Bristol soon. My friends are deciding whether to go to Prysm or Syndicate.
Can anybody from Bristol or whose been out in Bristol recently give me some advice as to which place would be better for a group of 10 guys ranging the age groups 25 - 34.
None of us has been out in Bristol before, we'd like to go to a place which plays a variety of music like drum and bass, hip hop, r&b and some chart music.

My daughter (age 24) says not Syndicate then as it plays only chart music and is full of younger people (18 year olds).
She hasn't been to Prysm so can't comment on that one.
Unfortunately some of the clubs aren't keen on large groups of men (you say guys so I'm assuming you are all male?) either by the sound of it.
Drum and bass, hip hop etc tend to be played in the smaller clubs around Stokes Croft or there some around the Waterfront (but avoid Oceana as younger age group again and not very keen on groups of men) or try Park Street.
Try http://www.venue.co.uk/clubs to look for what's on.I live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here.0 -
Prysm used to be Oceana, I haven't been since so don't know if the clientele have changed.
If you want something a bit more unique to Bristol, maybe try Thekla?

Try The Big Chill Bar. Its a pretty small bar with a dancefloor so gets pretty busy, but is a really fun night and a really good crowd.
Bristol is a fun night out, but it can take a little thought as there are a few areas which can get pretty rowdy on the weekends. I would personally avoid Oceana and definitely Syndicate - but if you do end up going to either of these make sure you aren't wearing trainers.
Try MBargos, Brass Pig, Illusions on the Triangle or if you want a mega student night go to Lizard Lounge.Debt total (21/09/13) - [STRIKE]£4076.51[/STRIKE] £4015.00  :eek:Month 2 Overpayments: £60.27 /£1001% challenge (started 26/08/13): £21.27 - 2.5% /100%:cool:0 -

Definitely avoid both Syndicate and Pryzm!!
Both full of chavvy Bristolian (lads) barely out of nappies and looking for a fight!!
If I were you, I'd start in Clifton, then walk to the Clifton Triangle area - lots of bars and clubs... Agree, Mbargo is pretty good... If you're still going strong, head down Park Street where there are places open til 6am and a whole host of dirty kebab shops if you're after a late one!!
Hope that helps!!
