NGP parking fine

Hi all new to this forum please help. Just received a letter from Roxburghe debt collecting agency stating that I owe £160 for non payment for parking do double yellow lines at Cardiff bay retail park. They state that a PCN was issued by NGP and this is why they have been involved. I did not receive any previous mail from NGP and have now been told I have 14 days to pay.
May I add that I was sat in the vehicle while my wife went into the shop for 5mins max and I had a large trailer on the back of my vehicle so couldn't park in normal bays.
Any advise would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

You've gone past the appeal stage but you could write back denying the "debt" and say this is the first you've heard of it at the registered keeper so they need to return it to their client.
Then NGP should get back in touch with you for you to appeal.
The alternative is to continue to ignore unless you get a letter before action or court papers."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -

Debt collector stage is covered in the 'Private Parking ticket? Newbies read these FAQs first!' sticky thread.
You won't be paying but you need to read the info & links already in the stickies at the top of the forum which mention similar options as described by Hot Bring.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
