Is anyone finding post to Italy slow recently?

I'm finding post going out to Italy (International Signed For) very slow.

It leaves the UK promptly, but the tracking is only starting to work on Poste Italiane around 10-14 days later, suggesting there is a delay after leaving the UK and being processed into the Italian postal service.

I'm getting a few delivery inquiries from folks in Italy - I am pointing them to the RM tracking and Poste Italiane tracking so they can see it's on the way, but there is a 10-14 day processing delay it seems before Poste Italiane start tracking / handling from what I can see.

Spain, France and Netherlands are arriving 2 to 4 days after posting, so this definitely appears to be localised to Italian deliveries.

Post to Italy has always been ridiculously slow.

I was advised on here recently of a one week delay between goods arriving in Milan and them being processed.

My International Signed For package sent then took almost exactly that, and then another 4 days to get to it's destination.

This was in the last two weeks.

There used to be a warning on the RM page about Italian delays, I can't see it now though.

Thanks, it sounds as if I was getting caught up in this processing delay.

Items that I sent on 10th and 11th this month have finally arrived yesterday and today.
