can kitchen worktops be re covered?

in In my home (includes DIY) MoneySaving
Just wondering if its possible to have existing kitchen worktops re-covered as opposed to completey changed?

    I'm no expert but I have seen adverts for this so yes you can. Have you tried googling?

    seems it can be done but mine have curved / rolled fronts which may be an issue.

    Can anyone shed any light on entirely replacing an L shaped worktop mitred in the middle in terms of difficulty?

    Over tears I've painted workgroups , wasn't very successful but brightened up kitchen for while, I garnished about 8 times!!!!
    I've tiled them, grout was pain to keep clean, in this house I Madrid until I had funds to buy new
