Virgin Atlantic Amex

going to be taking a trip on virgin atlantic and i was considering signing up for one of their cards to maximise the miles i can get. The flight i'm getting will earn me 10,448 miles, now if i get a virgin amex card i've got one of two options:
WHITE CARD
3,000 bonus miles plus 2104 miles for the booking
BLACK CARD
6,000 bonus miles plus 4208 miles for the booking
if i spend £7,500 a year on the black card i get a complimentary companion reward flight to get it on the white card i'd need to spend £15,000 on it. I reckon i could do £7,500 fairly easy (paying off in full each month of course!) but would struggle to hit £15,000. Also the black card pays 2 miles per £ compared to 1 for the white card.
There is of course a downside to the black card in that it has £115 annual fee so opinions please on whether the £115 fee is worth it for what you get back out of it.
