Could someone who knows about this please answer a question on redundancy?
I am to be made redundant on 31st March. Fortunately I have already been offered another job. However this job means relocating. Now I was hoping to use my redundancy payment to help with the move, pay a few months rent up front and that kind of thing, but I have been told I won't receive the money until nearly a month later on the date that I would have got my April pay if I was staying.
Now I have yet to find any proof on this matter, but I always thought that all monies owed had to be settled before you have left the company? Could someone confirm this or am I mistaken?

normal next pay day is acceptable to pay out the wages and other payments on any termination.
Some companies will do the payment is the month of termination(ie. early)
you could ask why it is not possible to make all the payments in March pay run.0
