Best Place For A Stocks And Shares ISA

Options
Hi all,

I am currently looking into investinging as I have some money lying around and I feel that while I am young it is now a good time to do it before I have any other commitments.

I am currently learning a lot so do not plan to invest anything yet until I have sussed everything out but I have realised I will need a stocks and shares ISA if I wish to avoid as much tax as I can.

Where is the best place to get one, taking into account fees etc

I do not plan to day trade because I do not have much of an investment to make it worth paying the trading fees.

Ther are lots of options but for someone starting off with small sums then charles stanley direct are an option, low percentage fees on small sums a nd a reasonable website.

The other thing you can do is set up an account on trustnet, just needs email and a password, and you can then set up some dummy funds and track them to get a feel for the market, volatility and also research funds to see what they invest in and how they have performed, though last performance is no gaurantee etc
