trying to cut a long story short.... after the third attempt we seem to have buyers that will buy our house rather than pull out, posted many times on these forums regaridng the problems we have had with our house sale.
our buyers ahve sold to a couple of FTB's and they want to move asap, these buyers have been waiting for our buyers to find a house for several weeks.
We ahve a private sale on a house but can't progess because the vendor lieks a peice of land and just before he showed interest in it, a bungalow on the land was rented out for 6 months so they can't do anything for 6 months, that lettting agreement ends in november this year.
I spoke to our the vendor last night and asked if he was willing to rent for the short term so that we can get on with the house move and not lose our buyers, he's not too keen and said there probably isn't a short term rent out there.
I had a look today for any rental houses and there not one upto 800.00 a per month (and i really only want to go to 500 a month which is roughly what my current mortgage is)
now i've got a problem, really don't want to lose our buyers but i really don't think that they will wait until end of october beginning of november for us to move.
I dont think i be doing any of this house moving lark anytime soon when this one has sorted out.....

no i agree, but i cant fuind a rental property to move into.. i'm so disheartend with it all if its not one thing its another....Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -
You say you only want to pay £500 month in rent, in line with what your current mortgage payment is, but have you considered that once you have sold your house, the banked money will be earning you good interest & depending on what price your house goes for, it may well be well in excess of £500 month, which will pay your rent while you search for a suitable property. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

actually i hadn't thought of it like that, done some quick calculations and yes i see what you mean. the trouble is that i saw one house for rental at 900.00 but it was not even in the area that children go to school, going to phone around some agents tomorrow, i still think the problem is having such a short term rental.
feel like i'm jinxed!!Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0
