Any horse owners?

Sorry about not replying beforehand - been out with the ponies jumping all weekend. The wood pellets are uncomfortable looking when you open the bag but you soak them in water and they disintegrate to a dust free sort of sawdust looking stuff. We have mats so they are all really comfy as one particularly will attest as he spends his day lying down!!
I agree about saddles, they should fit really well, but the coat hanger thing is a way of getting one quickly that won't cause any issues. Ours all have thick numnahs and gel pads as well to make sure they are ok.
I've just ordered Turmeric as our farrier was talking about how it has helped some horses he visits. None of ours have any issues and that's how we want them to stay. I ordered the stuff from an Asian online store - good quality and cheap.
Ebay is the place for good cheap tweeds - my kids would be naked without it!!
All the very best and I hope that once the weather improves you have a fabulous summer enjoying yourself and meeting great new people - we can honestly say that we have met very very few folk who we wouldn't want to meet again. People are generally very nice and always helpful in the horsey world - a few odd ones here and there, but hey, that's life!
