Insurance for a 4 year old Macbook Pro

Wow this is my first post in a forum ever!

Ok, so I'm trying to find insurance for my laptop, it's a Macbook Pro that I got in 2010, so it's just under 4 years old. Problem is most insurers only insure if laptops are under 12 months. The other problem is I'll be traveling around Europe for three weeks, ending in Berlin where I will stay for 6 months. The only insurance I've found for older laptops doesn't cover this length of time abroad.

Any advice etc would be appreciated!

The norm is to insure it as part of your home insurance but over 6 months abroad will stretch all but the MNW/HNW policies. What are you doing with your home insurance with such a long period abroad?

Alternatively, just ensure you get a high quality travel insurance but again the length will limit your choices
