Maybe because I still have mobility difficulties and care needs. It is only because of the medication that they are removed. Come off them, then I am back to where I was.

As you well know, I have no need to inform the DWP of that.

There is no improvement in my health just a removal of the pain I used to suffer courtesy of the Morphine.

    And yet ....

There are not that many that would even admit to having reduced needs, I am so pleased to hear of your honesty. Yes you are supposed to inform them when your health improves not just decide not to make a renewal. The same goes for medication as well as surgery. If medication helps in any way, reduction of pain giving increased mobility etc, you are supposed to tell them that as well.
I do wonder how many actually do?? How many times do I see those that walk with a stick outdoors, yet are more than able to get around without it where no one can see them.

I think Andy's suffering a severe case of amnesia he's even arguing with himself now chuckle !!!

  • If you have issues with taking amiltryptiline your doctor might swap you to norotryptiline which I'm taking as the amiltryptiline made my hair fall out as well as making me exhausted.

When you are working at home do you have a proper supportive desk chair and have you been DSe assessed.

I would be interested to see if you do get PIP. I have a bad shoulder / lower back due to car accident but am also working full time. Have had 17 sessions of Physio so far and am waiting for more and am taking tramadol, naproxen and the norotryptiline. Definitely see if you can have your pain meds reviewed. I have also had 3 steroid injections into my shoulder ( which has been the most help really) over the last year. Work gave me an OH assessment and I have a special office chair which supports my neck and keyboard and mouse.

I have many of the same issues that you do. Have limited arm stretch on my left side so things like washing hair, ironing, hovering, I have a bit more arm movement than you unless it's a particularly bad day but sometimes also have difficulty brushing my hair and driving more than short distances, so I really sympathize. To start with my doctor said it should get better in 3-6 months but now they say they don't know and at my last doctors appt he said it might be beneficial if I could work part time but I can't afford to so that. Neck and shoulder pain is awful isn't it.
