Northern Rock Mortgage PPI

Hi

I'm hoping someone can help me. My father-in-law took a mortgage out with Northern Rock in 2005 and paid it off in 2011. Now he isn't sure whether he can PPI included or not. I have some details that I obtained from a credit reference agency but this doesn't include the policy number.

Without the policy number how would I go about finding out whether or not there was PPI included considering Northern Rock are no longer operating. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks

insurance premiums dont appear on credit searches. try the bank statements as he would appear as a direct debit payment.

no one here would know if he had ppi, he needs to call them.

there is also nothing wrong with mortgage ppi, especially a monthly one which this would be.
  • Sorry if I wasn't clear, I understand no one here would know if he had PPI and that insurance premiums don't show up on credit searches. The help I'm after is advice on how I find out if he did or not (i.e. phone numbers, email addresses, websites, postal address). Northern Rock is no longer operating so I don't know who/where I should contact to try and get details about his policy.
  • Have a look at bank statements to see if premiums were going out.

Look at his bank statements. one of the reasons most MPPI complaints fail is that it is usually monthly premium standalone and therefore doesnt suffer set up issues in the same way loan PPI has.
