Hi
I wonder if Malc the eon rep can help me? I was due to pay my last quarter bill on the 10th of jan. No excuses but jan is a tough month so I didn't pay it. I called up last week to make a payment and I was told to call back with a meter reading as my next bill was due and then I could make a payment and he could set up a payment arrangement to pay the next bill. I called to day to do just that only to be told my bill was over £700 and I had to pay it today or I would have to have payment meters to pay off the debt.
I told the lady that I wanted to pay some today and I will pay 2 payments to clear the balance one in feb and one in March which she told me was impossible because I have never stuck to my other payments arrangements and my argument is that I have always paid regardless. My bill this time was for just over £200.
I really don't see the point in putting in a payment meter to collect a debt that I can clear in 2 months surely this is better then taking a couple pound a week of what ever I put in meter.
Appreciate your help if you can? I have made a payment today through internet banking for £100.
Thanks

Hi Madeinessex,
Malc’s not about at the moment, but I can help you with this.
Firstly I’m a bit surprised we wouldn’t offer you any kind of arrangement, that’s normally the preferred way to collect an outstanding balance. Although, if you have had arrangements in the past and these have always failed we may ask you to pay half of the balance first, then an arrangement for the rest.
I think you should maybe have another word with us now you've made a payment towards the balance.
If you could also make another payment then, it may make a difference.
But shout up if you need me.

Hi
I hope Malc the eon rep can clarify my queries-
- How many people can I have on my eon account?
- What do I need to do in order to add/remove someones name from the account?
Thanks.0 -
Hi benny2009
Accounts can only be set up in the one name.
We changed our approach to this towards the back end of 2011.
Before then, we could set up accounts with more than one name. Since this time, though, accounts are only in the one name.
Accounts with more than one name before this change have been left as they were.
Although it's no longer possible to add extra names to accounts, names can be taken off if you contact us.
Hope this helps benny2009. Give me a shout if you need any more info.
