OOOOOH IM CROSS...I HAVE JUST TYPED THIS ONCE AND ITS VANISHED:mad:

Any way lets try again:D

You may want to get a cuppa before you start:o

Well as some of you will know i am moving to Germany soon -removals come on Friday:eek: ...anyway i have used the sorting out and packing up as an opportunity to declutter - loads gone via freecycle :T ....the problem i have is that i have totally lost my routine...this waiting to move thing has driven me nuts..i used to be so organised!

So today i want to sit and make myself a cleaning routine..only i know i will forget allsorts, and thats where you guys come in:D ....

Im only planning on getting everything done mon-fri as i want the weekends free to spend with hubby and also you cant do things like hang washing out on a sunday in Germany:D

So far i have:-

I will vaccume, dust and wipe the paintworks down downstairs and wipe around in the kitchen before bed time every day
We dont make much washing so i will deal with that as and when we have a load
  • MONDAY -clean windows, wash down doors, step and paths
  • TUESDAY -clean bathroom/toilets and change bed
  • WEDNESDAY -clean fridge + clean sofas...cream leather and mucky hubby not a good combination:rotfl:
  • THURSDAY- clean oven
  • FRIDAY-vaccume, dust and clean paintworks upstairs and change bed

MONTHLY:-
  • defrost freezer
  • clean store cupboards and check dates on food
Now for part 2:o

All my old cleaning products are going to my mum as i havent used them for ages and am sick of them taking up space.....

Now in my old style cleaning list i have:-
  • vinegar + lemon juice
  • bicarbonate of soda
  • baking powder
  • micro cloths
  • vodka with essential oils for airfreshener...no im not mad, but i have vodka that isnt going to get drunk so i may as well use it:D
  • dish cloths..i usually use pot sponges but i get through sooo many.. i will just have to remember to put a clean cloth out every night:rolleyes:
  • I also have 4 empty squirty bottles so if anyone has any cleaning recipes :D
I think that is about it for now... i would really appretiate any ideas as im sure ive missed loads...

Im going to make my rotas up later using any ideas you give me..i have to pack the PC away tommorow evening, but any mesages left after then will be picked up as soon as i get to germany and get an internet conection..about 6 weeks:eek: ... but i will take my rotas with me in the car and stick them up in the cupboards as soon as i get there..so you will be with me in spirit at least:T

So come on guys...let me have it.....im waiting:D

I know that stardrops are a favourite but i cant seem to get any. I always have a bottle of diluted zoflora next to my sink. It smells absolutely lush ( i have the cool&fresh one) It is antibacterial and disinfectant as well and seems to be a good allrounder. You can get loads of different fragrances and it usually costs less than a £ and lasts for ages HTH

I am clearly a !!!!!! - i would never consider cleaning an oven weekly and as for dusting and wiping down paintwork daily - you have my admiration!

hi there thanks for the quick response

IKA200- how dumb am i???? i adore zoflora.....the flowershop 1 mmmm and stardrops...what a wally i have seen this mentioned sooo many times...i will see if i can get hold of some....

MS PIGGY....:rotfl: :rotfl: you have made me chuckle...
Im trying to stop myself letting things build up...its only on paper at the moment mind;) .... i supose i could get away with doing the paintworks once a week...look now - you are leading me astray:p .. mind you i must confess i dont work and we dont have children..so that makes a difference:o ...
The oven is only because i figure if i clean it weekly it will only be an ickle job...not like this time when i had to buy a box of oven pride to rescue the oven.... its the armys..and if it isnt spotless when i march out on monday they will bill us for having it professionally cleaned:eek: ...the ovenpride brings the shelves up to that lovely "ding" shine that i normally only get when its a new cooker, but its a viscious chemical thing;)

Oh my... maybe mrsmcawber wants to teach an itinerant student how to clean house... I am so impressed - you have inspired me to get off my butt and clean my apartment!

Sorry though, no tips for your routine - because it looks like you are reigning queen in that department and your routine looks like something I should implement in my own life lol!!

Isn't defrosting the freezer monthly a bit excessive.....spend the extra time saved pampering yourself with a manicure.

    Hi Sandy2

Never really thought about it being excessive:D ..its never a big job...i flicked it off this morning and it was done and dried in about 35 mins... i just switched it off had a cuppa and by the time id done my cuppa the ice was coming off in sheets...fish sliced it into a bowl and onto the garden and dried it out...it didnt even wet a dish cloth enough to have to wring it out;) ... i swear you have to try wipping it over with neat comfort when you do it next.. it defrosts soooo quickly...
Mind you i could do woth a manicure....by the time i have finished packing and then unpacking at the other end i will probably have no nails left:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Though i think im going to take your advice and pamper myself..a long soak in the bath with lots of smellies tonight i think....when i have done a bit more packing:p
