I'd like to add my wife's name to my current property deeds with the aim of reducing the tax bill for renting it out. Since half the value is less than the stamp duty limit, I recon I should be safe from stamp duty, but how do I actually do this?
Is there a book/guide/ web url that explains which forms I need?
thanks a lot for any advice!

PS: I have no intention of hiring a solicitor if I can avoid it!

ask land registry about a transfere of equity document, your lenders might want you to use a solicitor, you'll also have to pay any costs, try land registry website0

Thanks a lot - Can find a TP1 document, which might be what I need, but I think I'll ask the L.R. just to make sure.0

This is the wrong form (unless you are dealing with part of the property). You need a TR1.0
