Can you reapply for a Motobility Car ealier?

I received our motobility car early last year and I was wondering about changing it. I know the limit of the car is three years but I've been having problems driving it. The reason is that the car is manual drive and I've noticed my legs are hurting a lot more than they normally do. I am looking to change it for an automatic.
Is there procedures and problems in changing the car?
Thank for any help and advice

Yes, its a standard procedure to change early if your circumstances have changed and your vehicle is proving to be unsuitable for you.

Talk to them and explain - they have a great amount of empathy.

If you have good reason, they can allow it -Motability are always helpful, so give them a ring and talk it through with them

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)
  • I changed my car early twice, they were very helpful and there was no problems at all, I also got some of the deposit back I paid. I really want to change it again as I now have a mini as it's brilliant on petrol but due to me getting worse I now need a wheelchair which I can't fit into the tiny boot of the Mini but I feel I can't ask to change early a 3rd time.
  • Yes and Motability are really helpful. My dad had to swap his car 12 months before it was due for an automatic MPV, and he also got a grant from Motability towards the deposit on a new one.
