Asda Credit Card Service

Hello,

First time posting in this board, but it isn't a credit card question its a good service posting.

I have a direct debit to take the full amount each month. I've recently changed bank account from Smile to A&L.

A&L offered the service of swopping all of my direct debits.

I left enough money in both accounts to cover the direct debit just in-case.

Anyway I noticed that the direct debit hadn't been taken out. So I phoned Asda and they assured me that it will be okay, they apologised to me, even though I hadn't paid them and assured me that I won't be charged.

A few days later, the direct debit still hadn't been collected. Now payment is about 9 days late  anyway they said that they were sorry it hadn't been collected - it appears to have been refused by the bank  Enough money in both accounts remember.

Anyway, I eventually paid by debit card and they re-set up the direct debit and apologised again for me not paying on time :D

They will put a note on the acocunt to cancel any automatic charges which may go on.

Hope that works :D
